Principals Report
- Thank you to the Board for many years of service, for all the teacher appreciation week events, and thank you for the great assemblies.
- Iowa testing- our children are taking the Iowa test of Basic skills. This is a normalized test across all children in the country at the same time, whereas the MEAP is a criterion reference test. The Iowa test is a pilot and is a timed test. Tentatively, the 3rd-5th grade students will take them in the fall and 2nd grade in the spring.
- Jefferson Elementary reusable bags are for sale for $5.
- Lunch Moms and Parking lot help is needed. See Ms. Davis for further information.
- Important Dates are on the Jefferson website- check them out!
- We are still looking for PTO board members for next year.
- We are officially a Green School. There is a banner in the café for this. Thank you to Mrs. Wilson for all her efforts on this project.
- Construction Update: Starts June 14th. We are receiving a new roof, outside doors, a new permanent wall in many classes to hold the new white board, new technology in all classrooms, new blacktop out back, and a new heater in the teacher’s lounge.
- Thank you to the PTO for all that was done this year for teacher appreciation.
- The assemblies were enjoyed by all.
- The fifth grade teachers say thank you for the help with 5th grade camp.
